So many people told us we must visit historic Bisbee, Arizona so we're going to explore it today, but first we have to wear out Enzo with a small hike to the water tower & then the dog park... gotta wear the puppy out 'cause we're not taking him to Bisbee.
What an amazing historic, artsy town! What a funny name--but fun to say!
Tons of history, first we went to a cool museum where we discovered what made the town--spoiler alert: it was mining copper. But there's tons of other minerals and gems mined here too. The upstairs of the museum is devoted to all the amazing minerals and gems that were found in these mines.
There's lots of shops, crafts and delicious restaurants. This is a real artsy, quirky town.
So much fun... so glad people told us about this place--it was not on our radar at all.
We missed out on the mine tour because it was sold out--one of those things you got to book online WAY ahead of time. We had heard that is amazing... but the parking lot is so small. Book early and come early.
So we will be back someday. Come with us as we explore this old historic, mining town! We are so glad we did.
