Join us for our YouTube Episode 192 of Wild Horses RV Adventures as we hit the road for Tyler State Park, one of the most highly recommended parks in the Texas State Parks system! Our travel day starts with a few lingering RV issues. Will our stubborn rear slide finally cooperate? Have we found a solution for the entry stairs that insist on moving while we're driving? We think they are fixed...

Every RV owner knows that sometimes the adventure begins before you even reach the campground. Along the way, we make our traditional fuel stop at Buc-ee's—and luckily we arrive before the crowds turn the parking lot into organized chaos! We travel northbound on Rt 45 and come upon a huge backup on the feeder road southbound because Rt 45 southbound is closed. Of course Google maps and our Garmin RV GPS send us any alerts until about 10 minutes later--and that was only Google maps (why we always run them both!) We trust the Garmin RV GPS to get us safely to our destination but Google always seems to have the most up-to-date info on traffic conditions.

After about four hours on the road, we pull into Tyler State Park and immediately realize why so many campers rave about this place. The towering pine forest, winding roads, and beautiful scenery make it feel like we've entered a completely different part of Texas.
