Why Everyone Loves Tyler State Park

Join us as we spend nine days exploring beautiful Tyler State Park in East Texas! In this episode of Wild Horses RV Adventures, we take you on a complete tour of one of the most popular Texas State Parks and show you why so many campers call it a must-visit destination. We camp in the Big Pine camping loop with full-hookup RV sites and explore the park's many camping options, including additional RV loops, tent camping areas, screened shelters, and historic cabins. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), Tyler State Park combines fascinating history with towering pine forests, peaceful scenery, and excellent outdoor recreation. During our stay, we hike many of the park's scenic trails, paddle across the beautiful lake in our kayaks, and venture into the surrounding community to discover a few local attractions. Our favorite hike is the Whispering Pines trail, built by the CCC in 1933. They planted the pines trees which now tower over our heads. Our second favorite is the Lakeshore Trail which makes it's way all around the lake.
